 [Monday] Tia approached Lala who sat at the lunch table.Tia was very excited about the discussion she had in one of her classes about the importance and history of a telephone.She slid in the seat next to her friend. "Hey Lala, Have you ever wondered how the communication over a telephone all started?,"Tia asked as she watch her bestfriend click through her cellphone. "Yea Tia, I've been wondering what smart person brought me joy everyday after school when the phone rings,"She Replied with a smile. "Well....,"Tia Began, "on March 10th, a professor was working around in his office and accidently spilled acid all over himself." "Yikes!,"Lala said covering her mouth. "He then yelled for his assistant but, he didnt realize his voice had carried over the phone line. This wonderful, unique, popular invention was a accident!!" "A accident!?," Lala exclaimed."Yeah, a accident invention that today we couldn't live without," she replied. "This unique technology was invented in March of 1876 by Alexander Graham Bell. Professor Bell made the invention final on January 30th,1877. Although Mr. Bell is recognized as the inventor,there were many other attempts to produce the telephone." "Wow! i never knew it was a accident," Lala said. "In times now, we dont just have telephones(land-line phones), we have Cellular Phones too! Just think,what if Mr. Bell never created the telephone? Who would get the idea to make a Cellphone?" Just then Tia's cellphone started to vibrate."if this invention wasnt created , that would mean no text messages," Lauqhed Lala as she got up to go get her food from the mircowave.

   [Next Day] Tia saw her friend in the hallway at the water fountain just before class was about to start.She walked over to her friend. Feeling smart, Tia said,"Well Lala I was thinking about it, inside our phone, did you know there's a speaker which you can hear people talk from?"Lala Came up from the fountain and wiped her mouth."Yea!! thats how i hear my ringtones",Lala laughed.As they walked down the hallway to class. Lala said, " Tia did you know,there's a keyboard for our texting and dialing numbers?, Tia said smiling,"I know girl thats all you do is text. All cellphones have a powerful circuit board with all microprocessors?"Lala stopped and gave Tia a confused look,"What in the world is a microprossevie..or whatever you just said." Tia Laughed,"Its Mircroprocessor and it makes every phone a portable computer.When they connect to a wireless network, this bundle of technologies allows you to make phone calls or exchange data with other phones something like..."Tia PLEASE HUSH!!" "Fine.. well, since you won't let me talk, tell me what you know about cellphones," Tia said folding her arms."Well," Lala said,"Today,cellphones are able to fit in your hands. I know that i don't walk around with those big square phones they use to have back in the day in my pocket!" "Amen to that," Tia said.Lala Continued as they walked into the class and sat in their desks,"The phones weigh only a few ounces and have alot of different color graphics ,musical ringtones and voice activated dialing, Back in the day all this stuff would have filled a brief case." |
 "Today class, I would like for you all to write something about phones," Mr. Wilson announced to the class."Doesnt have to be alot, just a nice paragraph". "Ooh this is a good assignment!,"Tia exclaimed,happy that her friend and herself has just diccussed the telephone."I seen this poem the other day,Mr. Wilson would love it.,"She whispered to Lala."Yea Tia, This assignment is a piece of cake,!"Lala said smiling. Tia Wrote,.. I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone? Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill. [This Poem was not made by us we simply found it in a forward.] Lala Wrote,... The phone Changed History. Just think, We can call someone on the other side of the world and hear them like their right next to us.We have palm size phones that are easy to carry,and these small phones include tons of features.These phones are like little computers. Some have Internet,and keyboards.But lets not just give praise the cellphone,What about the Landline Phones. You can be anywhere in your house with a wireless Telephone. Some do happen to have cords,but the cords are great especcially if you talk alot. A phone with a cord you never have to worry about the phone going dead.With Wireless telephones you may have to talk in moderation because, the phone will go dead on you.
